District 7 Election Turnout

By KGNS News

After a day full of voting in District 7, it looks like people in that area will have to vote once again. That's because according to the turnout, there will be a run-off. This is what the numbers look like, according to the Webb County Elections Office.

-Hector Lee Patiño: 35.97%
-Jorge Vera: 30.36%
-Roberto Estrada: 11.22%
-Jose Luis Maldonado: 18.88%
-Ricardo Calderon: 3.23%
-Mario Juarez: 0.34%

According to those numbers, there will be a run-off election between Patiño and Vera.
Elections went on all day today with a total of 1,187 people voting in that area to vote for that council seat once occupied for Jose Valdez who ran for Mayor earlier this year. Right now, Council says that run-off elections will take place either June 11 or June 18.
