“The Wiggles building on Seymour suffered severe damage inside as well as outside. As you can see here with the broken door and glass shattered all over the ground.”
Carlos Ramirez: Wiggles Marketing Representative
“We have secondary damage from the explosion that happened near by. We have a wall that was pushed in from the building and obviously a lot of fire damage as well.”
The explosion happened inside a garage adjacent to
Wiggles. The property is owned by the Rathmells who also own the Family Dental Care on the same property.
According to Fire Captain Eloy Vega, the damage is at least in the tens of thousands of dollars, and now the clean up begins. Vega is happy no one was injured.
Eloy Vega: PIO Fire Department
“It's a miracle that it happened at the time that it did, where no one was in the building at the time."
Wiggles is now located in their secondary building at 3012 Loop 20. They say this location is fully functional.

What do the Rathmell's have to say about this? Why is there no statement from them? Aren't these type of accidents common at the beginning of the year?
