Free Taxi Rides on Super Bowl Sunday

By KGNS News

Local law enforcement is expecting people may be in high spirits this weekend with celebrations for the upcoming Super Bowl.
Last night police reported six arrests for people driving while intoxicated.
Now Webb County District Attorney Isidro “Chilo” Alaniz is asking the public to be responsible during tomorrow's televised football event.
For anyone not in a condition to drive, there are free taxi rides available from any public place during the Super Bowl as part of the designated driver initiative.
“Be responsible. If you don't have a designated driver, there's no excuse. We see many cases. Many tragedies come through this office of DWI’s. Someone never intending to hurt anybody, but being negligent," says Alaniz.
Again, Super Bowl Sunday, from 8 p.m. until 12 midnight there will be free taxi rides from public places to your home.
