Governor Perry Addresses Border Issues

By KGNS News

A welcome visit to Laredo by Governor Rick Perry, who stood side by side with local and state leaders, admitting the lack of border security is a big problem.

“When the governor candidate of Tamaulipas is assassinated across the border, when a car bomb goes off in El Paso and when we have intersections blocked in Nuevo Laredo and gun battles raging, there’s a problem.”

The blame, he says, directly falls on the Obama and previous administrations, who he says are not doing enough.

“They don’t get it. I don’t know how to put it more sincerely.”

Perry says the state of Texas has invested millions in border security but bottom line…

“This is not our responsibility.”

And recent attempts to help will not work.

“On its face it is a bit offensive when you think we've got a 1,200 mile border and they're gonna send 280 national guard troops.”

But after Perry's comments, local officials worry that more empty promises are in store if a unified effort to fix the problem doesn't come soon.

“You know, I think he is concerned but we've heard a lot of rhetoric. We're still waiting for boots on the ground. We're still waiting for assistance.”

As if the republicans are much better. Look at G W Bush, he started the gulf war just to show up his dad, and all at our expence. The only real solution is to stop sending money to any nation that holds out its hand and fix our own problems then worrie about the whole world.there are plenty of starving, homeless american men, women, and children here. What about them? Sure Obama gives a good speech but acctions speak louder than words.

The opposite that bush and his cronies did in helping big business by putting our country and young in harms way looking for nonexistent WMDs and for the not yet found bean ladin. Before you think that helping big business trickled down and helped regular Americans, think again: profits. Huge dividends and stocks paid off to CEOs and stockholders (again not regular Joe’s) were the order of the day. Follow the money trail and you’ll see who benefited from the former administration. Does Halliburton, Morton Thiokol, Boeing, Colt, Bell, Exxon, Rockwell, ring a bell? “The ignorance on these posts is really bad”-Jt> You are right on with this, YOU are the model of ignorance with your post. An entitlement going into big business’ pocket is what really doesn’t work. Stop deluding yourself and take a real look by simply as I mentioned “follow the money trail” and stop thinking your ball cap bill is an eclipse.

The ignorance on these posts is really bad. You liberal drones can never have intelligent discussions. All you say is , "Stop big oil!" The Democrats are not the answer. Look at what Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are doing to our country and our economy. What they should look at is curtainling entitlements to people that don't want to work.

Say NO to Bush Chimpfaces' 4th term as Texas Governor. Vote Bill White and say goodbye to Big Oil, Big Ins, and Big Pharma control over Texas and America.
