By KGNS News

A homeless woman has been arrested for cashing several forged checks totaling over a thousand dollars.

Police arrested 27-year-old Guiselda Alicia Hernandez yesterday, following an investigation stemming from a case that began last year.

Officers say Hernandez forged and cashed about one stolen check each day for a few weeks at the end of last year.

In all, she managed to receive $1, 760 in cash from the transactions.

Though it went on for a few weeks police did finally manage to track her down.
