Why was this officer on Hi 35 ?? seems to me like missmanagement of personnel resources, The LPD mus authorize only patrol cars on the Hi 35 not motorcycles to keep these officers away from danger. heal soon partner.

I met JL when he first got on with LPD..his dedication, trustworthiness and honesty are considered by me as impeccable and represent the quality of Officers that serve the Laredo community. My prayers are with him and his family as we await his full and complete recovery….

divine intervention? Shame on you! You are probably one of the ones who calls the loudest for police when you need them, and spit on them when you don't. The man was injured on duty and we need to support him, as well as all of law enforcement. Sure, there are "dirty" officers, but your comments are way out of line. If you have evidence of "bad" police work - take it to the City Council, the Mayor, the Chief, the D.A., and don't back down. But bring EVIDENCE, not just trash you swap out on the street. Save your hateful grumblings for your beer buddies...

well i bet the person that hit this officer was on the cell phone. they need to check the cell and if this person was on the cell they get to get arrested!!!!!!! no excuses

Before you arrest this lady you need to arrest the cop that killed the K9 like this was no difference in the K9 it was an "ACCIDENT" so now you tell me who is to be arrested? the lady for the accident on the cop that killed the K9 as per "ACCIDENT". This type of accidents happen all the time unfortunate it was his turn now. i pray all will come out right with Reyes,...but dont jump the gun and arrest the Lady she did stop and render aid.

He's my uncle and all the family is disspointed to know that nothing has happened and we know they want a straight investigation but nothing has happened to anyone yet, and despite what happened it sad to know that my uncle is in the hospital right now fighting for his life and nobody has come to say whats going to happen. you cant just leave something like that to deep investigation. It's no like we can stop My tio from things happening to him. He is on life support and we dont want to lose him. It hurts us so much to see him the way he is. Something should be done soon.

Kristi, I know you are under a lot of stress, but your two blogs confuse me. Who casued the "accident" and there is no hope for saving your uncle?
