Kids have fun during Special Ed Field Day

Some local elementary Special Ed students got a kick out of activities coordinated just for them.

It was all at the annual Special Education Field Day at the Memorial Middle School field hosted by LISD.

Along with marching onto the field to start of the morning full of events, these youngsters were joined by several mascots including the Chik-Fil-A Cow.

The director of Special Education for LISD says they started this event years ago as part of the Young Athletes Program through Special Olympics.

Coordinators say they will be having more activities such as these for Special Education students in the district.
