Laredo Police Patrol During Spring Break

By KGNS News

Today marks the first day of Spring Break meaning your children or teens may be out and about enjoying vacation time.
The Laredo Police Department is fully aware and is putting more officers on the street to ensure a safe week.
It's our top story at ten.
Its all part of an impaired driver mobilization grant provided by the department of transportation over spring break.
Officers will be working overtime to deter drunk driving.
Police are warning that if an officer thinks you're driving is impaired you can still be stopped and arrested for DWI regardless of your blood alcohol content.
The goal is to help save lives.

Never heard of one's driving ability being impaired based solely on the consumption of a Hershey Bar or a cup of mud... However, alcohol consumption and driving motor vehicles are bad juju...

As long as you give free food and drink to TABC officers and their family and friends( and they come in to places as if they owned it ) you have no problems with under age patrons or after hours drinking. Just another brick in the local corruption wall.

maybe if the TABC would actually do their job and shut down all those bars that serve minors like tequilas, djs, chelseas, agave, cheers, fbar and others. all you see are drunk minors and owners profiting off illegally serving minors. also most girls at beer runs arent even 18 yet or dont even have documents to work here but whatever happy spring break

99% of the motorist on the road after 2 AM are drunk drivers, we don't have enough jail space for a real crack down, of course the alcohol lobby would not allow that to happen
