With the mass taking place in Jaime Zapata’s hometown, many from the Gateway City made the trip to Brownsville to remember his life that was tragically taken away one year ago.
One woman who was at the mass in Brownsville Wednesday morning has made it her mission to honor the fallen ICE agent.
Rosy Gregory, who heads up the Friends of Jaime Zapata group in Laredo, has organized many events raising money in his name.
Gregory says she was given a coin with Jaime’s face on it for all of the work she has done.
She is planning an upcoming fishing tournament at Falcon Lake later this month.

Let him rest in peace! I agree with 'A Toast to', to all those people "raising money in his name"; that's another way of bringing some attention to yourselves on someone else's misfortune...get over yourselves people!!
