'Legacy' Nominated for Comic-Con Award

Well some would call it the place to be this weekend, where thousands of people including celebrities are attending this year’s Comic-con festival.

That’s where a store from right here in Laredo has been nominated for a notable award. Comic-con is for the most die-hard fans of comic books, anime and video games in San Diego, California. There is said to be more than a hundred thousand exhibitors where awards are given each year.

This year Legacy Comics was nominated for the Will Eisner Retailer Award. Rick Sauceda from Legacy Comics explains the honor he feels his store has received: "Eisners are give out every year for best comic book, best artist and they also recognize the comic book stores internationally. This year, out of 25 stores we were nominated as well. It's a huge honor. It's a very huge honor, because you're talking about internationally, all over the world."
