Local leaders to revisit beer run controversy

By KGNS News

The marketing tactics of local beer run drive-thru’s have garnered much attention in the past year, not all of it being positive.

The use of scantily clad young women to lure customers to their doors has members of the community concerned along with the Laredo City Council.

Officials will once again address the infamous use of dancing young women outside of Laredo beer runs at Monday night's City Council meeting.

Even an online music video is stirring up conversation, as local beer runs are making noise in the community for their advertising efforts using young scantily clad women in front of their locations.

City leaders have addressed these businesses before but have failed to find any illegal activity.

Now, Councilman Esteban Rangel plans to take on the issue for the first time in the hopes of drafting an ordinance consistent with state law to address the concerns of the community.

The challenge for the City Council is to try and control the adult content of the beer runs without infringing on the rights of the business.

They also have very hairy arms. They look like prehistoric throwbacks between neandertal and sesquach.

As long as they are making legit money, I dont care what they do, as long as they keep it inside the facility.

At first it was strange to see these young ladies dancing half naked and felt uncomfortable when my girls were with me. Then I thought ok what is the dif. if they are half naked here or at the lake. Noone has the right to tell us what to wear. If these girls like themselves enough to prance around half naked then so be it. I for one will not oppose their decision. If we oppose then who is to say the city won't tell us that we need a city uniform to live in Laredo.
