Logistics & Manufacturing Symposium

By KGNS News

It's no secret Laredo plays a vital role in international trade between Mexico and the U.S. Since Laredo is centrally located between Mexico, Chicago, Detroit and other areas, automotive is one of the largest items that moves through this border along with loads of food, steel and lumber products.
The Gateway City was the meeting place for the 17th annual Logistics and Manufacturing Symposium. Business men and women from across the country involved with the international trade attended the meeting.
Ivan Rodriguez, this year's chairman for the symposium, says funding for infrastructure is particularly important.
Through meeting with different companies they hope to expedite the time it takes to import and export the goods.
Laredo is the sixth largest U.S. Customs district in the U.S.
