Well win or loose no matter what happens with NBA's Portland Trail Blazers this season, it seems like most of Laredo is rooting for head coach Kaleb even the Mayor Salinas is inspired by his story after speaking to Kaleb earlier today.
"We are so proud of him what a wholesome young man; to go from the very top, to being the first Latino NBA coach. What an honor, a role model! It takes a lot of dedication and discipline and he has all those qualities. We need to tell his story cause this is the American Dream."

I'm happy for the new coach, but just goes to show the real problem here with our fair city. If you want a job that pays more than $10 an hour, leave Laredo. If you want to work for half of what you should be paid, stay in Laredo.

Send the mayor to Washington so he can tell everyone about it.We can call the trip Proud Of Canales trip to Washington D.C. Mayor can stand in front of the White House and Proclaim, I am Latino and proud!!

glad to hear! hope he gets a pass on this year. the balzers arent doing very good and they traded two good players. coach got thrown into this mid season. hope he gets some good players around lemarcus next year!
