Webb County Deputy Investigator Arrested for DWI

According to reports, 48-year-old Robert Liendo, Jr. was arrested by an officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety this past Saturday on charges of a DWI, class B misdemeanor.
He was taken to the Webb County jail and was later released on a PR bond.
Liendo works with the Webb County Sheriff's office as a deputy investigator and has also worked with the sheriff's office for over 25 years.
In accordance with the guidelines of the civil process, Liendo will be placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of the judicial process.
Typically, Pro 8 News receives mug shots of suspects arrested, along with the charges, but we're told by officials within the department that due to the sensitivity of Liendo's work, his mug shot will not be released to the media despite it being public record.

Only a DPS officer would even arrest him. If it had been LPD or his buddy sheifes this would not have even happened. I guarantee this is the last we hear of this incident, Pro 8 and others will sweep it under the carpet. I bet it won't even go before a judge, they will lose all the paperwork.

Wow!! I wish everyone had the opportunity not to have their mug shot plastered all over the place. Shouldn't an officer convicted of a crime lose their security clearance to work around or be privy to sensitive information? Pro 8 News really shoud drop the "PRO" from their moniker and just call themselves 8 News.

There are ways to get public information released by a judge, but then again some body tells no pro it won't be released and they say oookay.spineless.

My money says there is no mug shot or any other record left, no bond was set so no record there. It will all go away, they will assign the drunk to investigate himself.

There is no mugshot, in fact I bet there is no longer any record of his arrest. Se perdieron los papeles asi como los del huerco Cuellar. In another week everyone will forget about this and it will be business as usual. This is not going to change as long as most of our city is more concerned where the peda is going on this weekend.
