Mexican troops cross into the United States at Bridge Two

A convoy of three military trucks loaded with Mexican soldiers crosses the border at Bridge Number Two clearly violating international law.
It happens as Customs and Border Protection inspectors try to figure out what to do.
A CBP spokesperson says they got on the phone with Mexican authorities after being alerted that the military trucks were heading their direction loaded down with soldiers and weapons.
Mexican leaders say the soldiers, who had just been deployed to Nuevo Laredo, didn't know the area, got lost and then made their way through Bridge Two.
It's important to note that CBP did not tell us about the potentially serious situation. It came from another law enforcement agency.
Some callers to our newsroom were upset inspectors allowed the Mexican military to get so close to all those inspection booths over at Bridge Number Two.
Some noted had it been Mexican drug lords they could have taken inspectors by surprise and easily crossed the international border deeper into the United States.

Can somebody please tell President Obama, our esteemed mayor Raul Salinas and Congressman Cuellar what is going on? They all seem to be living in their own respective bubbles and thinking the war that is happening less than a mile away cannot touch us.

We live near the border in San Diego and we are acquainted with several Border Patrol officers. These officers tell us that Mexican military units cross the border into the United States frequently and almost every officer on patrol has seen it. The Mexican units are hired by cartels to protect drug shipments into the U.S. When the Border Patrol officers report these incursions to their superiors, they are told to say and do nothing about it. Imagine what would happen if a U.S. military unit entered Mexico.

Yes why were they not stopped and why did BP not pull out their guns and demand to know why the hell they were there. I dont believe that cacamania BS that "they were lost". BP shouild have shot first and asked questions later. But no the mayor hell the whole governemt is dumb. Shut up, we should not be at war right now with a country that is thousands of miles away. Mexico has caused so many problems for the USA, and a war should be on the brink with Mexico. You give Mexico a hand and they take the whole arm. Clearly they are taking advatange of the USA. Oh, but they can shot and kill an American who crossed into their waters.

We need at least one Army Brigade stationed in and around Laredo. Look Out is right,they are doing dry runs. All it takes is one screwed Mexican General to start an "incident".This was a slap to our great country,we should Not trust them.Bring in our forces from overseas and deploy all along the border before its to late.

Just plain ignorance, yes the majority of us proudly have Mexican blood in us. The fact of the matter is we are Americans, born and raised in the us. We do not deny our heritage. But we are Americans. I for one am proud of it. But this is not about where our ancestors are from, this is about protecting this country and all the people who live here.

All I gotta say is that I can't believe that the Bridge System Officers reacted way faster and better than Customs ever did. Customs ran inside "for their weapons" but by the time they came out the Soldiers had already gone back by themselves

If were allies, why cant US Military cross over to bury one of their own with full military honors? If US soldiers would have taken the wrong turn, they would have been arrested!!They claim they made a wrong turn, hard to miss the AMERICAN FLAG waving, umm toll booths...Mexican military claims to be an ally but if it really came down to it they would turn on us...This clearly violated several laws international and domestic but our Government will play it off as an accident a minor..

Mexican officials were headed where if they saw the Bridge which identifies US border. I believe it was a trial run and they obviously were not lost. Looks like US Customs is asleep at the wheel!!! What a joke!

For the people who keep claiming racism do not seem to understand that they are the racist ones.Borders are for protecting the people of the country and you should read the Mexico constitution before thy stick foot in mouth.Also learn history and figure why they speak spanish south of the border.Go back to Spain
