More Charges for Firefighter

By KGNS News

A Laredo firefighter finds himself in deeper trouble with the law after allegedly trying to strangle his wife. This is Marcos Gomez., aLaredo firefighter charged with a felony after a family violence incident dating back to last April that ,according to reports, caused bodily injury. This week Gomez is expected to be re-arraigned in court, because the District Attorney's office came down harder on Gomez by adding more charges to his indictment. That includes 2 more counts of assault. Meanwhile, Gomez's status at the Laredo Fire Department remains at "temporary suspension with out pay or benefits" pending the outcome of the case.

These guys keep on using steroids and keep on abusing their loved ones. They keep on getting more violent and out of control. When are we as a society going to say NO MORE. SCREEN the fire fighters - give them unannounced drug testing & fire them if they are not clean. Most are either on drugs or other substance.

This is very sad that we keep paying ppl that are not professional, dishonest, cheaters, drug users and nothing gets done. It has always been like that in Ldo that it's sick. You need to know or be related to someone to have a city job. Why? I know ppl that are working in the South Texas Dev. Council that has three sisters working there so where are the background checks? In the trash Can that's why we have all this dishonest city employees because everyone is related. Sad isn't it?
