National Community Development Week kicks off
City officials kicked of National Community Development Week on Monday morning.
The week is geared towards recognizing all the hard work of employees who work to better the community.
City leaders also pointed out projects that have been funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Since 1975, the City of Laredo has received approximately $116.8 million in community development block grants.
The funding has been utilized on activities, which benefit low and moderate-income households.
