Internet fad leads to changes in the law books

Advancements in technology are leading to advancements in the law books.
A new Texas law, which took effect September first, strictly prohibits minors from sending explicit photos to each other via text, an act referred to as sexting.
Until now prosecutors either dropped the case or had to prosecute minors under adult pornography laws. Now minors whom sext and get caught can be charged with a misdemeanor, which can lead to jail time for repeat offenses.
Dangers authorities hope young Texans won't have to face with education from parents school officials and law enforcement about not only of the law but the risks.
Students be warned; they can get into serious trouble, and adults more so with this new law
