New, larger American flag to go up by Bridge #2

By KGNS News

The massive American flag that flies near Bridge Number Two is taken down to prepare for the tenth anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks.

If you've ever wondered just how they fold up the extra large 40 by 80 yard flag, well it takes many steps.

The flag never touched the ground but was stuffed into a clean bin.

It was later taken in to have a tear mended and properly stored.

A new and bigger flag measuring 50 by 100 yards or about the size of a football field will take its place this Friday.

The flag will pay tribute to those who died in the tragedy on September 11th and will display US pride at the border.

Maybe now the Mexican military will be able to see it and not cross over into US territory.

It is a great waste of money in the maintenance of these flags, just ask the Mexicans about it, they already spent millions mending their flags. That Mexican flag was the toy project for former president Zedillo, the Chiapas native indians killer. He left years ago but now the Mexican government has the financial burden for the maintenance of several flags around the country.

A BIGGER FLAG?!?!?! Holy testical Tuesday Batman, that’s all we need, a BIGGER FLAG. These colors don't RUN and they don't BLEED!! No better was to put it. The last thing we need to do copy that grandiose eyesore vainly displayed in that so-called "sister city". You want to be proud, be proud of what Old Glory stands for and the sacrifices made past and present to defend what she represents.

Well it's about TIME, our flag should not be upstaged by the Mexico flag, considering more half the population works HERE in the US!! We may be sister cities, but I am proud to be an American and give thanks everyday for those who fought for our freedoms! Thank You.
