Noche de Agave kicks off WBCA celebrations!

By KGNS News

People were in high spirits tonight as the first big event of the Washington’s Birthday Celebration kicked off!

Friday night was the Webb County Bar Association's Third Annual Noche de Agave tequila tasting.

Organizers say they were able to merge two elements this year, Grupo Fantasma and tequila, in order to raise money for some very worthwhile causes.

They raised $5,000 the first year, last year they raised $21,000 and they're hoping to double that this year.

All money raised at Noche de Agave is given to students attending LCC and TAMIU.

The Fernando A. Salinas trust will be matching funds from the event for the scholarships for students.

I agree 100%. The worst part is that none of our comments will be heard of anywhere else besides here. These should be publisized ON Pro8 NEWS (Television version)- Like PROBLEM SOLVERS.

LPD should have been stationed outside, but no can do cause the chief and every borracho judge in town was there bien pedo. Agree with you Santos. The mixed messages they send to the children of this community. I'm sure Chilito was there also. Pro 8 should have been there filming the judges drinking and driving, now that would be news, but not a very good way to sell election ads.
