By KGNS News

"La gente quiere andar libre y tranquila en el pueblo en la ciudad en Nuevo Laredo."

Hector Lopez, a Nuevo Laredo resident says people just want to live in peace in Nuevo Laredo.
This following another deadly day.

"There is certain reports coming from Nuevo Laredo saying there were confrontations between drug trafficking organizations and the military."

According to official reports, a gunfight broke out between gunmen and members of the Mexican Military at Juarez and Venezuela about a block away from El Mañana and ended at Venezuela and Mexico with many people dead inside of a vehicle.
We're told that gun fight lasted for just about ten minutes and members of the Mexican Military used a helicopter to attack the suspects.
Media reports indicate the confrontations were sporadic around the city.

"General understanding ins there was casualties reported anywhere near to the amount of casualties reported two weeks ago."
But even during times like this some say life goes on, even under gun fire.

“Yo sigo mi vida normal y yo pienso que mucha gente hace lo mismo; sigue su vida normal. Tiene que salir, tiene que trabajar, tiene que divertirse, tiene que ir a la escuela y pues la gente si nos toca nos toca.”

He says he goes on, though it sounds bad, he just hopes to not be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Though unofficial reports through social media claim over a dozen people were killed today in Nuevo Laredo, no official information has been revealed.
