Police amend charges in 8-liner robbery case

By KGNS News

He was arrested on charges of robbery after allegedly hitting up an 8-liner but now police say those charges have been amended.

Police, on Monday, said 18-year-old Leonardo Castillo had been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at bamboo amusement center in the 4600 block of South Zapata Highway.

He was caught after running from officers near the scene of the crime, but now, after more investigation, police have amended the charges to possession of marijuana and also arrested him on a warrant out of municipal court.

Police say the $1,900 found on Castillo’s person were not from the 8-liner business.

Authorities do say that he and a 16-year-old, also arrested Monday are still considered persons of interest in the armed robbery case.

I meant high officials in LPD and the city govt. Maybe not, the chief might be on vacation too often to get a cut.I bet the city officials are pretty tight when it comes to their mordida money.
