Police looking for suspect in Cuatro Vientos murder case

An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect police say murdered a Laredo man last week.

Thirty-year-old Luis Jimenez is wanted for the murder of 23-year-old Robert Carlos Benavides.

A family member found the victim's body surrounded by blood inside his home in the 3500 block of Cuatro Vientos last Thursday.

Police say Benavides had been stabbed; however they are not releasing any other details about the case.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of the suspect, 30-year-old Luis Jimenez, you are asked to call police.

Jimenez's last known address is in the 700 block of East Montgomery.

Police say he has a history of arrests for possession of marijuana and assault.
