Port Officials dunk into freezing waters for a good cause

By KGNS News

Several officials take a dive in freezing water for a good cause at a polar plunge.

Some were shivering, but it was all to raise funds for the Special Olympics in Laredo.

Customs and border protection officials say despite the cold water, they still enjoyed being able to contribute to this event.

We spoke to the acting director for the Laredo port who says his group has raised about $500.

The daring challenge took place at the Thomas Street pool, where ice was dumped into the pool to make the water pretty chilly.
