She's the woman whose online rant has taken Laredo by storm.
Her name is Sara Walls, and her opinions she posted on You Tube has many in Laredo up in arms..
Now the woman's husband has turned to Pro 8 News for an opportunity to explain and provide an apology on behalf of his family.
Our Carolina Garcia has more. This is video you will see only on 8.

Through a video over 8 minutes long Sara Walls expressed her dissapointment with the city of Laredo.
She removed the video after Laredoans expressed their anger towards her and even threatened her.
But the You Tube video is up again thanks to a viewer who recorded and re-posted it., getting almost 20 thousand hits in less than a day.
"I just hate going out in this town. Mexican men here are disgusting."
Laredoans took personal offense to the what Sara Walls posted..
Michael Walls says his wife's situation of being away from her hometown made it even more difficult to adjust to a very different culture, but now it's he and his kids who are suffering consequences getting the looks from the community. Michael Walls said.
"Went into the bathroom to wash my hands, come out, every body stops talking, turns their heads. It's unconformable for me.">>>
City officials responded to the video where Sara Walls claims the crime rate in Laredo is very high and that Laredo Police don't do their job. Investigator Joe Baeza says Laredo P.D. has record numbers.
"There was one time where we're working with TxDot grant. TxDot actually came and audited our citations. We were giving almost three times more citations than some of the biggest cities."
The internet is overflowing with comments about the video taking Laredo to national news including to CNN, something Michael Walls says he is sorry for.
"I'm just sincerely sorry and if there is anything I can do to make it right I mean I would but I didn't do it. So I'm apologizing for my family."
He also said his wife and kids left Laredo and they are not planning on coming back.

This town is so corrupted. I agree with Sara 100%. This city needs very much improvement. City Officials need to be trained more. People in this town are nossy, bitter, envious and we are surrounded by too uch chusma no matter in what area of the city you live. Love thy neighbor. This goes for Sara and for my fellow Laredoans. Thank God for the first amendment!! We have every right to voice our opinions for or against anything. I am a native Chicagoan and I love Laredo, because we are so unique here. Let's not concentrate on how many different ways we can insult the people, culture and ways of our city (native Laredoans seem to be the worst offenders cuz they think it's cool). How about proving those haters wrong and in the process help our city by taking action to improve what you think needs improvement. Volunteer in schools, churches, and boys and girls clubs. Pick up some litter just for the sake of doing it. Meanwhile, take the time to pray for those poor misguidedd soles like Sara Walls.

It was all true. If you don't like people to say these things about our city, stop doing these things. Discipline your kids. Take responsibility for your actions. And well as we all know Laredo does not have the best of reputations and the schools well there are several kids there who don't speak English nor live in Laredo so they dot pay ant type of school taxes which makes the rest of us who have home, rent an apartment or home half to pick up the bill or those who don't even live in the U.S. and that is just not fair that we who do things the right way half to pay more for those who don't!! And as far as the police as a former police officer I can attest to the lack of knowledge when it comes to the Police officers I have run into from calling on them myself. Hello lets not forget how the former Police Chief and some of his associates had that investigation a few years ago and do we really believe the Police Department has cleaned its self up???

Aknowledge our mexican heritage. We cant deny it. We are only 2 or 3 generations from being mexican. But realize ur an united states citizen now and speak english. Really lets look at it this way .. Laredo has it's bad things but Laredo has lots of good things... we had good people, good eating places, good mall, a lake, great celebrations (what we're having this month) and yes we need more attractions too. Our town has its other good things: you want to go to a beach .. Corpus Christi .. want to go to a big city .. San Antonio ... and before we wanted to go to another country .. Nuevo Laredo,Mexico.. I have faith and I trust God that all of this will end soon. Please Laredoans we need to be proud of OUR TOWN no matter what .. We have a GREAT TOWN ... God Bless

We do need some manners when it comes to driving around town...When light turns green, time to move. When on mulitiple lanes and in heavy intersections and not turning right, stay on left lane; let others move on. When getting on freeway, check to see if you can. When someone is trying to get in the freeway and you can move over to left w/o causing an accident, please move over and let someone in.

In any town it will have it's faults and issues, but to make a person like this the publicity that she wanted shows us what really matters in the news. Granted yes, crime there is not the best but neither is it anywhere you go. You will find hate and racism and close-minded individuals. Life is not about being easy or going your way, it takes a strong individual to choose how you live your life and not let anyone else scare you out of living it. Culture is everywhere. We all need to learn to embrace life not discriminate one another.

95% of what Sara said is correct. You really can't go to a restaraunt, store, or even get a haircut without having to speak spanish. She was right about the trash, unnecessary car honking, and the crime. Laredo needs to wake up and know what the rest of the U.S. really thinks about them. The bad part is that Laredoans don't care. I'm a proud mexican american born and raised in Laredo and I will admit that our tex/mex culture is somewhat screwed! It takes a foreigner to tell it as it is to make us feel offended, but truth hurts! We have a lot of ilegal people living here, living off welfare and living off us the working pepole. Enough is enough. Everywhere you go and try to ask for a service, people answer you in Spanish or they simply don't understand you. I want my kids be better than me and have more oportunities than I ever had. English should definitely be the primary language used and if you don't know it, better yourself and at least try to learn. Truth hurts Laredo, take it as it is and don't blame anyone else for a culture that we ourselves made.

It's a shame that the people of Laredo spew more anger than Sara did. Instead of someone taking the time to understand that she was upset and out of her element, the community has driven her away. It is NOT easy moving to Laredo from a different community, it is extreme culture shock. I have had to wait for managers and leave restaurants because no one spoke English and could not help me. It is very uncomfortable to live in this city and it is rare for someone to extend a helping hand and embrace differences.

I don't agree a hundred percent with Sara, but the last time I checked, she has every right to voice her opinion. I really feel sorry for the Mayor and the media to have to make this such a big issue. Mr. Mayor, isn't there more important things you should be worrying about? As far as for Pro8news, you should try and investigate some real stories. Maybe you could start with the corruption in politics. You don't have to go far, just walk on over to the county court house.
