Bullying is a big problem at schools across the nation, and in many instances leads to fights which are sometimes posted on the Internet, but the problem doesn't stop at the border. Schools in Nuevo Laredo are now dealing with the problem in a big way.
As other students cheer on, girls are fighting in the middle of a school campus.
According to a report in Nuevo Laredo, this was a common scene last school year.
Administrators say more than five fights were recorder each day in Nuevo Laredo middle schools alone.
Administrators say the problem of bullying is mostly with their female student population and as you can see in this video, they are taking their differences and posting them on the Web.
According to one middle school teacher, these fights are not happening anymore.
He says they have implemented an educational program for students, parents and teachers about bullying, but what’s on the Internet is the lack of respect against each student, as their friends watch on.
Meanwhile teachers say due to the recent violence in Nuevo Laredo, students have opted to stop fighting, as there have not been any reported fights this new school year.

Who the hell cares about the school bullying going on in Nuevo Laredo. Is it affecting us? How about Pro 8 News write about school bullying going on in Japan, or India, or Australia. Geeze, is there nothing going on in Laredo that can be used as a news story? Come on, your journalists really need to get out and do their jobs instead of relying on MSNBC for news stories.

Jeez how myopic anonymouse and exlaxic are. You apparrently don't understand the over two hundred year relationship our two cities have had. We are one city divided by a river. Try thinking a little more globally. Puppies open their eyes in ten days and you obviously still have yours closed.

One city divided by a river? Last time I checked we are 2 countries divided by a river. Myopic, no. This is Laredo , in the USA , so ok maybe one story from a foreign country that will affect us, but why make something , and I'm gonna use your word, myopic a top story in our news station. Do those children go to our schools? No! what affect does school bullying in Mexico have to do with us? There are alot of things happening in Laredo I guarantee you that!

They are our neighbors and what affects them can affect us. But in this case it is what affected us is affecting them. Check out you tube there are plenty of fights on there from Laredo, Tx.

Annoym-anus your myopathy obviously stems from your unfamiliarity of our divided city which, by the way, has been here (settled and established) long before the thirteen colonies in the northeast were formed and still longer before they united and called themselves the United States. This river was designated as the boundary long AFTER not before the city (notice singular) was founded. So go back and check again and see that arbitrary boundaries do not change a people (into an “us and them” mentality) just like the Berlin wall didn’t change the German people from sharing similar events.

That's history, Im talking about today, about now. We are now a city in the USA next to a city in another country. My point is what does school bullying in MEXICO have to do with LAREDO. Those children dont go to our schools so WHO CARES. So why dont you jump into DOC's time machine and jump back into the past where obviously your mind is still at.

The same thing would apply if they showed a news story about school bullying in San Antonio. What do those children have to do with Laredo. You trying to make my comment into a racist thing, and it' not. If someone got killed or something while it happend then I would understand it being broadcasted on Pro8News. And why was it a top story for Laredo?

Stop being a bozo. The fact you are talking about the NOW time frame doesn't change history. The fact is this has been a city for longer than the United States has been a country cannot be changed. As you;ve ponted out out before incidents on both sides tend to spill over to the other side.

But, in this case it didnt!! I know the history of this country, moron, but as my earlier post states, that was then, this is now. Im so sick of that mentality that people like you have, "Laredo was once part Mexico", yes how exciting and interesting to know, but fortunatly we are now part of the United States., which I for one am happy our history in LAredo concluded that way

Uh, "to anonmanus" myopic: a degenerate eye disorder, adjective; able only to see things near at hand. Myopathy: is a muscular disease, in which the muscle fibers do not function for any one of many reasons, and results in muscular weakness. There is no adjective for myopathy so you might want to think before you speak (or in this case type.)

uh "give me a break" you need to refer your comment to "open your eyes" read the posts. I was just simply trying to make a point using his/her word in they way they meant it to be used.

I respect your opinion about me even though I dont agree. I guess it just bothers people to hear the truth. I dont think Laredo is insignificant. On the contrary, I think its people like you that for some reason are stuck in the past, hurt the chances of progression for our city.

I am well aware of the differences you point out and meant to use them as I wrote it. Giving you a time to understand would be better than giving you a break. No hard feelings.
