Several Schools Ruled 'Unacceptable'

By KGNS News

Several local campuses have been ruled unacceptable by the Texas Education Agency.
Those schools are J.C. Martin Elementary School and Memorial Middle School for the Laredo Independent School District.
Today LISD officials state both schools are working under new principals.
They tell us J.C. Martin Elementary has already excelled in several district competitions and with the STARR test around the corner, they are confident this year will be better for both campuses.
UISD’s Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School was also found unacceptable by TEA.
The district has not yet released a statement on the issue.

What needs to be done is change the name of J.C.Martin to Raul Salinas Elementary.

That name is reserved for the new LISD Public Corruption Magnet School that will soon be announced. The city manager will be the dean and all of the teachers will be current or former city officials.Since we have so many local experts in the field students will come from all over the world to study here.

The more kids fail, the greater the crime rate in our city, yet the community and its leaders do not question or investigate whats really the problem in most of our schools and then target those identified problems. Instead its the same ole same ole...talk, talk, talk and no action

i belive most teachers do try there best (MOST) but alot of times PARENTS need to do there part with there children, as in helping them do there home work not doing it, encouraging to do there best not bribing your child.

I suggest that you do not help your children with grammar. There is not the same as their. You must have been a victim of the Laredo school system.

Lisa the problem has been for quite a while that we have children having children. They then cannot possibly help their kids with homework. We have a teenage pregnancy problem in local high schools with nothing being done to help aleviate this issue. There is not enough value placed on education at home either.
