Shooting At Local Forwarding Company Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

It was a scene that had people standing in the rain shocked at what happened.
An employee of a local freight forwarding company was shot dead in the parking lot of where he worked.
A second man also suffered a gunshot wound.
And after a long day, a suspect has now been formally charged.
At least twenty patrol units of police, DPS and Border Patrol swarmed streets off Mines Road in northwest Laredo Friday morning.
All had been called out to ATC forwarding company in the 14700 block of Atlanta where an employee had been shot and killed and another person wounded.
Police say the gunman immediately fled the scene.
“ We didn’t know if we had a person out here with an AK47 or worse.”
But police say the suspect wouldn't get too far.
Police arrived to find a man lying in this parking lot. He was already dead. They say right around the corner was the man they believe shot him
An officer responding to the call first spotted a man matching the suspect's description.
“He was leaning up against a tree with the gun still in his hand. The officer saw him, positioned his vehicle near the location, got his AR 15 rifle and engaged the suspect. He told the suspect to drop his weapon and the suspect did obey the officer’s command.”
The suspect is identified as William Henry Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona.
This picture was provided to us by a witness who saw police making the arrest.
Johnson is now charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Back at the forwarding agency, detectives gathered details as the medical examiner arrived.
Authorities say they still don't know why Johnson decided to shoot.
“It’s too early to tell the happenings behind this story.”
Police have not released the identities of either one of the victims.
They did say the surviving victim had a gunshot wound to the shoulder and is expected to recover.

just sucks that this had to happen to 2 innocent workers. one of the who ended up to the hospital is a good friend of mine my pryers go out to him and to the family who lost their love one for whatever reason either was a bad dispatch or not paying to the driver in which atc is very popular for doing that, it still didnt have go this far.R.R HOPE YOU RECOVER SOON BRO.

It was not because he wasn't paid. I no more than you guys do obviously but I won't say anything on here because I WILL NOT jepardize the investigation, my family has talked to investigaters. Even if it would have been for not getting a paycheck do you really think that's a good enough reason to walk up and open fire on two people. The man that was killed is my brother. We love you Clarence, you will always be loved and dearly missed. I hope Johnson spends the rest of his worthless life in jail.

That person you are talking about is my uncle. I would ask that you would please have enough respect for my family to not gossip on here. This is hard enough on our family dealing with the loss of our loved one without having to see stuff like this.

This might have been prevented if the employees had been properly trained on workplace violence and security issues. If I were the families of the deceased and injured, I'd sue ATS for all they are worth.

You know, nobody should be arguing on here period. A lot of us are hurting for Uncle Clarence right now. It's heartbreaking and nearly impossible to even think that something like this would happen to him. So let's be civil everyone, respect the man who's life was just taken from him. I loved my uncle with all my heart and now he's gone, the last thing i need is these comments.

We are attending to our family issues but stupid people like you need to learn to keep your mouth shut. When you don't know what is going on or what his family is doing. Apparently you don't have anything better to do than to try to made rude and unwanted remarks to a grieving family.
