Social Media Networks Spread Kony 2012 Video

The 'Kony 2012' video has quickly gone viral within the last couple of days.
Ask anyone if they've heard about it and most will say yes.
"I watched it two nights ago."
The people we spoke to said they would have never heard about Kony if it weren't for social media...something that has the ability to spread news in an instant."
"I was just on Facebook and my friend Joanna sent me a message and said can you share the video that's on my wall."
Although he was reluctant to watch the thirty minute video, Mendoza did and says he was moved by it, adding that many have jumped on the bandwagon without knowing what they're forwarding to friends.
"Definitely there are people that just share it because their friends did it because I was going to do that at first."
"It can spread really fast. If one person sees it then everybody starts posting it and sharing it."
With the power of social media networks like Facebook and Twitter, the stop Kony movement video has received over 58 million hits in just four days.
"After I saw the video, I got really inspired to start posting posters everywhere and telling everybody about Kony."
The positive side of social media is being able to get the word out quickly, but does everyone know what the message is?
"An issue that's been going on for years over there?" "No. I didn't know that."
Someone who discovered the Kony video on Twitter, says on the other hand, social media gets important news out faster.
"Whenever Saddam Hussein was dead everyone found out on Facebook real quick before the president even announced it so I think that's good about social networks."

do you? make a video and blast it across social medias if you are not going to stop complaining. If you want things to change dont wait for others to do it for you... Kony 2012 after doing my research im supporting it..

funny how the "article" says nothing about wht the video is about, who Kony is. Just "SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKS SPREAD VIDEO" duh! Anyone knows THAT.
