Suspect in San Antonio arson arrested in Laredo

A Laredo man wanted by authorities for allegedly setting his girlfriend's home on fire in San Antonio is arrested here in the Gateway City.

Local police were working on a tip the man may be headed to Laredo to flee from his crime.

Authorities in San Antonio say 35-year-old Pedro Jimenez set his girlfriend's home on fire with gasoline this morning, while she and her 13-year-old son were inside.

Luckily they managed to make it out unharmed.

Police tell Pro 8 News Jimenez is a registered sex offender.

He's now arrested and charged with arson.

Why would she date a registered sex offender? And she has a 13 year old son? She deserved to get her home burned!!!
