A TAMIU administrator has been arrested, accused of violating his fellow co-workers. It's our top story.
70-year-old Richard Perez turned himself in to TAMIU Police this morning on one count of improper photography or visual recording. According to sources, Perez had set up video cameras underneath his female co-workers desks and was capturing video without their knowledge.
Perez did this while acting as the director of the universities small business development center. This infraction is considered a state jail felony and carries with it a sentence of six months to two years if found guilty.
According to the D.A.’s office, Perez is eligible for probation because it is his first arrest and he has no prior convictions.
