TX-DOT Contractor Arrested for Illegal Dumping

By KGNS News

A man that's supposed to keep the highways clean and clear of debris has been arrested for doing some illegal dumping of his own.
Police arrested 51-year-old Andres Santiago Simon on charges of illegal dumping, after he was caught by police dumping sofas and other items at an abandoned lot on Highway 59.
Simon is a subcontractor for the Texas Department of Transportation and is in charge of clearing debris from highways and medians.
Police say a patrol officer spotted the alleged dumping.
Simon was later arrested and taken to the Webb County jail.
The Texas Department of Transportation has issued a statement saying it provides strict guidelines for general contractors, and any contractor, who does not abide by their contractual obligations, guidelines, and procedures, can be subject to contract termination.
They go on to say TX-DOT will be monitoring more closely the actions of contractors.

Here's what should be done. Take all of that stuff and dump it at his house. Give his address and we'll have a free for all dumping day in and outside his house. He can pick it all up and dispose of it properly in the landfill. The same should be done with anybody that throws things out of car windows. This city looks like a dump because of these kind of people.
