Transient Arrested on Arson Charges

Laredo Police have arrested a homeless man on charges of arson.
He allegedly starting a fire in North Laredo Thursday afternoon.
Police arrested 45-year-old Donald Dale Hart Thursday afternoon, near the intersection of Springfield and Michigan, after fire crews rushed out to battle a brush fire there.
This was the scene right behind Target as the firefighters worked to get the brush fire under control.
Homeowners were seen trying to keep the fire out of their own backyards, but after two hours, firefighters did manage to control the blaze.
One acre burned in the fire.
Hart is now being charged with arson, and was taken to the Webb County Jail.
