Traveling Tips Offered Through New AM Radio Station

U.S Customs and Border Protection is offering spring break travel tips through its new AM radio station. CBP's 1610 a.m. recently went on the air, offering information that helps travelers get through bridges quickly. It’s part of a pilot program airing information in English and Spanish. Customs officials said spring break travel tips will also be broadcast over the next few days to help expedite the process at bridges. Information broadcast will include reminders of document requirements and how to use high-tech cards and trusted traveler programs. Sidney Aki\Port Director, Laredo Port: “We believe that if we have a knowledgeable traveling public its much more efficient flow of traffic into the United States” There are also new signs up at bridges to advise travelers coming into the United States.
