Two boys leave elementary school campus

By KGNS News

Officers with the Laredo Police Department and the Laredo Independent School District are looking for two boys who left the campus of a local elementary school.

District officials tell us Jonathan Coronado and Miguel Villarreal, Jr. left McDonnell Elementary School at around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Both boys are ten years old.

Family members tell us they filed police reports and hope to have the children returned soon.

Boys found in an abandoned home!! What in the world were they doing there? Why did they leave campus? I'm sure the parents are going to find a way to blame the school for this. These kids should be held resposible for any actions they did. Scaring parents, truancy, police search, etc. It is in no way the fault of the teachers, administrators, the district, or the parents.

With the schools looking more and more like jails, I'm surprised they escaped. Did the school district still get it's money from the state for those two students for the day. You know that's the only reason they enforce truancy. Maybe the worthless LPD reject school district police should be eating a few less tacos and actually doing their job keeping in the inmates.
