Victoria Speaks to Fuel at Autmusfest 2011

By KGNS News

The most anticipated music festival of the fall season went off without a hitch Saturday evening.
Autmusfest 2011 on the TAMIU grounds.
Food, contests, and several live bands entertained a large crowd since five in the afternoon.
Our Victoria Marshall gets a chance to interview the lead singer of one of those bands, the main attraction of the night, Fuel.

I can't wait for next year said on Saturday, Oct 8 at 11:24 PM

If you missed this, you misse a great event. the music was excellent with locsl and regional bands and of course Fuel. One thing though, I've been to festivals in may places and I've got only one complaint. Not about the festival itself as it was an event to attend but the poeple of Laredo seem to never change. With trash cans placed all over the TAMIU grounds, people just threw their trash on the ground givning the appearnance that we are all a bunch of raunchy atascados. In spite of this the event organizers had groundskeepers picking up trash after those who were never taught where trash belongs. Other than this, "Great Event" TAMIU alums. Thank you for bringing this to our city.

Hey Mr. I can't wait for next year peoehe in Laredo are very educated and they know where trash belongs... in Laredo. That's why people were throwing the trash anywhere because there's only trash in Laredo, along with trashy people. LOL. Oh and Anonymous Firefest is reunion of trashier people plus a bunch of "cowboy" wannabees all the southsiders probably went to the firefest!!! LOL.

went to both events with my friends and had a great time. to bad it was on the same day but glad both groups threw great events. there were a hell of a lot more people at firefest than autmus fest so i dont know where they got their 5000 attendees at autmus fest but who cares. wonder why the media powers that be only reported on autmus fest but i understand since they media here in town only wants to report what is in their best interest

to: local party person, because fuel is internationally known and the groups in the firefest are only known in spanish speaking areas they're not even known in spain, they know vicente and shakira and all those of that caliber but not "chuntaros" playing music that derives from polka!! go ask a european if they know la mafia or duelo!!! that is why there is more coverage about the event besides people who like that music have a big advantage here with the LEA Arena since they cater less to a rock music audience so why cry about the coverage if you all don't need it anyways?

I chose Autmus fest over Firefest because Firefest was the same tejano junk like everything else around here...blah blah blah! And that's why I didn't go to Autmus last year. Autmus is our chance for a CHANGE and in my opinion it was messed up last year! I know plenty of people who have never missed a year, except last year...It wasn't Autmus, it was Tejano Fest. Change it up people! Like "ha ha" said, Fuel is known worldwide!!!! The local bands were great and Fuel kicked A! One hell of a party and I loved every minute of it...stick to what works, Firefest is known for Tejano, Autmus Fest is known for rock. NOTHING WRONG WITH CHANGING IT UP SOMETIMES...I give Autmus a huge “thumbs up” this year!!!!

Well, I'm a "southsider" but I think Fuel rocked. So glad I didn't miss the opportunity to see this band. I hope AutMus Fest will stick to rock music. Leave tejano to Firefest.
