A Nuevo Laredo woman is behind bars for reportedly injuring a child at a local business.
Police arrested 35-year-old San Juana Gonzalez-Najera on Thursday after she allegedly left deep scratches on the chest of a 2-year-old boy.
Witnesses say the two-year-old was bleeding, but the woman accused of scratching him left the business, in the 500 block of Market before authorities could arrive.
Someone did manage to get the license plate and police tracked down the woman.
Najera told authorities that the two-year-old boy had attacked and pushed her child first.
She was arrested on charges of injury to a child.

I currently work at a school in the Azteca area and can honestly say there are cruel parents out there. Many of our students come from parents that are dancers, drug addicts, in jail, or abusive. It is very sad that CPS does not take care of this matter. I have made numerous reports about some of our students and nothing is being done. These ladies come to the United States to get welfare. We the tax payers suffer the consequences of these abusive parents such as this lady who should be deported. I think it is time to take a stand for these poor kids who did not ask to come to this world and have unloving parents!!
