Woman hospitalized after hit-and-run accident

Our cameras were first on the scene as a woman setting up flyers for a local yard sale is hit by a passing vehicle, an incident officers are now calling a hit and run.
It happened shortly after six Sunday evening at the corner of Del Mar and Springfield, right outside our studios.
Witnesses say the women, around 30 years of age was putting up the flyers on a light pole near the street.
They tell us she then crossed the street after traffic came to a halt at a stoplight.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital.
Meanwhile, officers caught up a black Dodge pick-up all the way in the Del Mar C area.
They tell us they have detained the driver for questioning, but are still investigating.
An arrest is pending.

I would like to shake the veterans hand.What was she doing? It is against city ordinance to put up trash on light posts,On a very busy street.She should be ticketed.

Yes, most people dont even follow the simple rules they were taught in kindergarten, Look both ways before crossing the street. Does that ring a bell. But the driver still should have stopped.

arrest is pending??? ok crime was committed, suspect was caught, evidence is on the truck...ok i still don't get it!! must be a high profile person that was involved... regardless if she was also breaking a law, a hit n run is bigger then a city ordinance...hit & run trumps..but oh well..only in Laredo...

I'll guarantee you, if he stole a six pack of beer from stripes, his face, name, DOB and blood type would be splattered all over the place.

That veteran rocksss!!! and the woman, well, poor lady but she should know better than to look both sides before crossing..and the driver, shame on him for not stopping.
