Zapata Murder

Man stabbed to death

By KGNS News

This is a map showing where in Zapata the killing happened, on Mira Flores Avenue.
Zapata Sheriff Deputies arrested 24-year-old Renee Villarreal.
They say Villarreal and the victim, 23-year-old Christopher Louis Martinez were at a gathering on Thursday on the 600 block of Mira Flores Avenue in Zapata.
Officials say they got in an argument which escalated to a fight. That's when Villarreal pulled out a knife and stabbed Martinez at least four times, killing him.
Zapata officials booked the suspect on charges of murder.
We'll have more information on this case as it becomes available.
