Recent Gun Battle in Guerreo Viejo:

Area Where Hartley Remains MIssing

By KGNS News

According to reports, right across the border from Zapata., three people are now dead as a result of an armed confrontation between suspected drug traffickers and the Mexican Military yesterday. The three dead are reportedly members of the zetas.

Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar told media outlets that Mexican officials recovered three .50 caliber weapons which officials believe could have the capabilities to bring down any helicopter searching for Hartley's body. Hartley was killed on falcon lake while he was jet-skiing, just off the shore of Guerrero Viejo over one week ago.

The only lazy people I see drinking beer are the residents that come from mexico to get our WIC, Medicare/Medicaid, Food Stamps !!! They don't work and yet they drive around in luxury vehicles and get their bills paid with government aid!

The bottom line is that every time the US tries to secure the border the mexicans cry human right violations. I say militrize the border from Texas to Cali. nothing going or comming accept through the P.O.E. and see what happens or cries. As far as the US funding the cartells it's true. With congressmen like Henry Cuellar sending millions to Mexico in the form of "The Merida Initiative" he just handed the money into the cartela hands, thats why they now have helicopters and 50 cal. weapons and such. As for corruption it's alive and well on both sides of the border,if not somebody would have already done something. Everyone lets the drugs go north and then try catching the money as it comes south before it gets back to the cartells. It's plain and clear only those who don't care to admit it don't see it.

I agree the USA should not be in afganistan. It is a mirror image of the vietnam war. The problem is most immigrants come to our country for a better life but yet they want to insult us. Why dont they just go back to where they came from and lets see how much better off they are there.

First of all get the information right because the th usa is financing all the dirty money to cartels. All ammunition, and and guns comes from the usa and other countries but especially from there. Theres too much money to loose for the usa (dirty money)just as drugs to much money , thats why they dont legalize drugs . In some cities in Mex some drugs are legal.

Oh come on! Your gonna play the blame game on the USA. Do people in Mexico not do drugs too? Every country has a problem with their citizens doing drugs. Its not just the USA. The problem is it is harder to smuggle drugs in this country than others. I do not think the demand in any other country is any lower than ours. Its just easier to get drugs in those countries thats all.

The US should stop using drugs and consequently, financing Mexican cartels. too many deaths in Mexico. Who is to blame? the USA drug addicts and the inability of the USA government to stop the flow of drug Money to Mexican cartels.

Mexico is to blame for the current gun battles in most border towns. If Mexico had been more vigilant to prosecute & control the drug cartels years ago, we would not be having this problem. It is now out of control. We have a war that will probably cost us billions of dollars and many more deaths in the future.
