U.S. Consulate Security Message

By KGNS News

Now this is the second time this week that we get news of a large gun battle in Nuevo Laredo.
These are photos of Thursday's aftermath after 13 people were killed and several others injured.
This happened after Mexican troops came under attack while attempting to take down the command structure of organized crime groups.
From that scene rocket and grenade launchers reportedly were recovered.
The U.S. Consulate today is urging people to take proper security measures if they must travel into the Sister City.
These are some of the tips.
Keep your car doors locked at all times.
Check your vehicle for anything abnormal.
In traffic leave space in which to maneuver always leave yourself and escape route and be prepared to take evasive action at anytime.
Ensure that family members are briefed on security measures.
For more safety tips when traveling into Nuevo Laredo you can go to www.nuevolredousconsulate.gov and click on security message for U.S citizens.

Like a locked car door is going to protect you. Just stay away from Messico.
