Gas Prices Continue To Rise
No signs of slowing down until international conflict is settled.
Laredoans are having to dig deep into their pockets everytime they pull up to the pump at a local gas station. The rising cost of gasoline has some financial experts very concerned.
Some Laredoans are having to pick up extra hours to be able to afford fuel while the city's retirees are having to afford gas on a fixed income.
Dr. Jorge Brusa, a finance professor at TAMIU, says if the international conflicts aren't resolved in the next 4 or 5 months, gas prices along with inflation across the U.S. could become a real problem.
Dr. Brusa says he is anticipating a seasonal rise in gas prices in the summer time, but as long as conflict is resolved overseas gas prices should become more stable after the seasonal increase.
