A blood drive was held in hopes of collecting donations for those in need. The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center had two trucks in the Uni-trade Parking Lot. The Lemur's mascot was even out trying to attract traffic to donate. A recruiter we spoke to told us every two seconds someone needs blood. Recruiter for for South Texas Blood and Tissue Lisa Guzman said,"we support 100 hospitals in South Texas and we need to collect at least 600 units of blood a day so we're hoping to collect whatever we can every drop counts." People who donated blood were given a t-shirt and tickets to tonight's lemurs game.
