Children playing outside is a typical sight in neighborhoods, but what happened Friday night was anything but. Twelve year old Esther Abrego was enjoying her Friday night playing outside with her friends when she suddenly collapsed.
"She died. And how does that make you feel? Sad."
This little girl who's mother did not want her to be identified was with ester when she died.
"She came. She sat and she started vomiting there. And then what happened? She was walking over there when she vomited again."
She says ester managed to get up and was trying to get to her house.
"I helped her walk over there."
We're told Esther lived with her sister and her family and that her brother in law picked her up off the ground and took her to the hospital. It was there were her short life ended. Although this little girl is only eight, she's old enough to grasp the fact she'll never play with her friend Esther again.
"I loved her so much and then she died."
