A Laredo teenager faces charges after taking the metro bus to evade police.
An alleged thief robs a car in the parking lot of a shopping center along the city's west side is caught red-handed.
As he was caught, he made a run to the nearest bus stop to get away.
People quickly made calls to the police department giving them a description of the teen who had just boarded the bus.
Officers pursued the El Metro bus for about a mile and within minutes the alleged thief was caught.
He faces theft and evading arrest charges.
He is currently being held in the Webb County Juvenile Detention Center.
