Commissioners in Zapata have granted funds for the Zapata Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber of commerce will now receive 60 thousand dollars along with additional funding each month from now until September.
The total is close to what they had originally requested.
The Zapata Chamber of Commerce closed earlier this year for a short period of time because of lack of funding.
A representative of the Zapata Chamber of Commerce says several checks will be issued this week to vendors of recent events that had not yet received payment.
