Border patrol agents seize over half-a-million dollars worth of cocaine.
It happened yesterday at the I-35 checkpoint after a canine unit alerted agents to the presence of drugs in the engine compartment of a Ford Expedition.
Upon further inspection, agents found 16 bundles of cocaine.
The drugs weighed in at 21 pounds with an estimated value of 690-thousand dollars.
The cocaine, vehicle, and the driver were turned over to DEA agents.
