Electronic voting machines not used during early voting

By Ray Gomez

If you've already headed to the polls to cast your ballot, you may have noticed you didn't have a choice between a paper ballot or voting electronically.

Louis Bruni, a candidate for state senate, filed an injunction against Webb County in the 111th district court, asking that electronic voting machines not be used in this election. Both parties, Webb County and the attorneys for Bruni, came to an agreement in court this morning.

The voting machines will not be used through early voting with the exception that only the disabled will be allowed to use electronic machines.

Attorney Robert Balli says their stance continues to be that the machines are vulnerable.
