He's an accused sexual predator who's been on the run for more than ten years.
Now the Webb county sheriff's department and the district attorney's office are working together to bring him to justice.

"Now that I'm at the district attorney's office we want to aggressively work on it and finding this individual he has escaped justice for 10 years now."

34-year-old Eduardo Martinez Contreras is accused of molesting a ten-year-old girl back in 1993.
According to the district attorney, the girl made an outcry five years later in 1998.
And Martinez was indicted by Isidro Alaniz in 99 and has been a fugitive ever since.
"We are confident we are going to find him and prosecute him."
Since January the DA's office has already prosecuted four cases and the recent one got 50 years in prison.
A strong message that the DA's office is trying to send out.
" Specially when there is a child involved we need to help bring closure to families, bring justice to victims and hold this predator accountable for what he did."
A local agency is now getting involved in bringing this man to justice.
"Webb County Sheriff's Department already knows this fugitive is hiding in Mexico and are trying to come up with a plan to extradite him here to Laredo."

"We believe that he is in Mexico and fortunately we have good relationship with Mexican authorities and we are going to look for him."
According to authorities it is believed Martinez has been living in Durango, Mexico.
They hope they can catch him soon.
