Emergency Landing For Brave Pilot

Tragedy is avoided on the outskirts of Nuevo Laredo thanks to a quick thinking pilot.

A Cessna 210 plane was enroute from Piedras Negras to Ciudad Victoria.

About midway in the trip the pilot experienced engine trouble.

He radioed ahead and asked local law enforcement to clear a path for landing.

He managed to land at the aircraft on a road near the Colombia Solidarity Bridge.

Despite the hard landing the pilot was okay.

The plane, however, had to be hauled away in a truck.
